I didn't see anything spectacular with any of these houses. Except for the house in Indiana, I didn't not think any of the yards were particularly interesting...I know I shouldn't throw stones because my house's curbside appeal frankly sucks, but I also wouldn't post it in this slideshow either. I live in Texas, and the house from Richardson is really a dime a dozen here: BORING! Every house in the way-too-many McMansion neighborhoods scattered closely here looks exactly like the one next door to it: all brick, scrubby landscaping, HOA approved trims and roofing colors, and interior layouts based on only the 4 or 5 blueprints the builder offers. I was hoping that this slideshow would show houses with a little more character, like stone and natural lumber accents, elaborate gardens, white picket fences, etc, etc. I am sensing and ulterior motive here, like hidden advertising from the real estate companies selling these houses!

how about showing some more affordable homes?  Of course a $1.5M home is going to have curb appeal!

Curb appeal - you can't see anything in that Carmel by the Sea house.  And the hobbit house??!!??

Who's doing your writing for these lame articles you publish.  Are you guys smoking weed while you write because I wouldn't give some of these homes you find so "sexy" a second look.  Get someone who knows realty to write for you because you sure don't!

Haven't any of you ever heard of Old World Charm?   These grand homes in Greensboro reflect that completely.  These homes and grounds are absolutely beautiful.  Too bad many have never been exposed to such beauty.

You people are nasty, and I would love to see what many of your homes look like since you are experts.   Most of these homes each have their own uniqueness, and there is nothing wrong with any of them..each person's taste is different...and by the way, I have beautiful shrubs in the front of my home and people walk down the street and compliment me all the time.

that's not 'a big circle of dead grass' you moron...that's winter in texas!

Greensboro is very outdated, never put shrubs anymore right in front of house, that's 1950's and it didn't even look good then.

9 & 11 look a little unique, all the rest look like any Tom, Dick or Harry's front yardscape.

My favorites are Greensboro, NC, Salem, OR and Edgefield, SC..

I looked at all of these and I think they ALL suck. Very old-fashioned, mostly cottage looking gardens, dated architecture . I guess it just takes all kinds.

I so agree with you Curtis--this appears as a neglected and unmaintained front yard.  This home owner needs to invest in a trimmer and actually "landscape" his yard.

Why exactly is a big circle of dead grass/poorly cared for ground cover  in Richardson Texas considered "eye-pleasing curb appeal"
