I'm all about 3, 6 and 7.  Seven is the coolest!  All of these homes are art and it's wonderful to come up with these ideas and see the end result.  The process and product of planning, designing and construction of these homes are awesome.  I'd take a beach front home (50 yards from the Pacific) over any of these, but to have a balcony like #6 in NYC would be brilliant and entertaining.

While all of the homes are lovely, I'm happy with what I have, far less expensive and it's mine. :)

These houses are beautiful, but if I owned one that big I would get lost in it! ;)

Conspicuous consumption is a primary indicator of a society's impending decline.

To fancifree:  Has it ever occurred to you that they not only DID have a budget, but they stuck to it and that's HOW they became rich? I can take at least one cruise per year on the money I save by NOT ever entering a Starbucks.  I can take a 2nd cruise and buy a house (over the years) with the money I have saved since I quit smoking about 30 years ago. I charge almost everything I buy on my credit cards then pay each bill IN FULL every month because I don't buy things I can't afford!  Since I got my first credit card 45 years ago I have paid a lifetime TOTAL of just under $50.00 in finance/interest fees (due to my own stupid mistakes).  Don't get me wrong: I am NOT defending the leeches of the top 1% who pay a lower tax rate than you and I, and I think the true cancers of which you speak are the 30+ top-earning corporations that paid NO FEDERAL TAXES over the past 5 years. Yes, put the offending bankers in jail who caused this recession!  And stop electing Republicunts who claim they love Ronald Reagan but  refuse to raise taxes on the rich to the level they were way back during Reagan's administration! You and I agree on that!  But don't fault those rich people who achieved that status by saving and investing and living within their means. Many of them got where they are today by sticking to a BUDGET!  And many... perhaps only a few... of those complaining are racking up cell phone and credit card bills they can't pay, for products they don't need.  When I lost my job, I didn't owe anyone a penny!  Thank you, Dad, for teaching me that very fundamental lfe lesson.

I agree whole heartedly with Mystic One.

Who cares about these cancers on the backs of society?

Find a zip code that has the most jobs,  I do not mean for domestic help either!

None of these PRIVILEGED people have never had a budget or a ceiling on there spending much less a zero based budget.

Yet they are the first to calll for tax hikes fro the rest of us what do they care? They are also the first to call for cut backs on the poor citing entitlements like they erer had to balance necessary medication or food...but of course that does not matter to them and you folks push their wealth in our faces.......shame on you!

I'm surprised Beverly hills 90210 isn't #1!! But I guess it is in the top five.  If anyone has ever been to the 90210 area, oh my, words can't describe how RICH that area is....  I used to live in CA, so I visited 90210 before.. And HOLY COW!!!!!! The first time I went there I saw more luxury cars just being in the 90210 then I have probably in my entire life combined! It seemed like 90% of all the cars where BMW, Mercedes, jaguars, etc.  I also saw multiple "EXTREME" classic cars parked on the side of the road.  I also saw a Ferrari and Lamborghini...   And this was all in just one visit.  RARELY do you ever see a ferrari or a lambo.  But in the 90210, the houses and cars out there are just stunning, never seen such a flashy city before.

Although I am just a common man, so it's still an outrage that the few small percentage of rich live live like kings, along with the damn big corporations.

You know people who live like this will suffer the most when it all comes to an end, the rest of us will know how to make do without.

I prefer a 1500 sq foot pre fabricated home with solar panels (totally off the grid). We don't need homes this big, what a waste of precious resources. There is nothing wrong with living comfortable but this is gross.

Though it was a feast for the eyes to see what great design and wealth can create and possess, the stunning Montecito residence is my favorite by far.  It still has warmth, romance, intrigue and intimacy in spite of its market value.  I would feel like I'm a character in an Italian historical novel if I lived here. Absolutely love that stone archway as you enter. Though costly beyond my wildest dreams, this one has *soul*.  Well, the Lord did say there are many mansions in heaven -- I know I'll find mine there!

lol, Vanzetti, no ones complaining about your dad first of all.
second, if people are going to complain well, theres really nothing you can do about it. if would rather not hear it (or read it) then don't simply don't listen.
Plus they have a right to complain. some people don't work very hard at all for what they have.
