Realtors are seriously overpaid.  Right now if I sold my house for 300K @ 3%commission they would make 9K.  Really!?!... almost ten grand for maybe what would be 2K worth of work... ...  Everything seems pretty easy.. take pics of home.. place description of home on your ad.. post it on MLS and maybe on other sites...  Have house openings and wait.... If you get a bite then negotiate price.  Is this really worth almost 10K?    NO its not...

I'm always like... does this come with a quickie at the end?  ha!

If you find a good Realtor he or she can be invaluable. Unfortunately most are only looking out for themselves and are definitely bottom feeders. Having bought and sold many properties over the years it makes my BP rise just to think about some of the things I have seen. If I list a property now the listing is with a firm with which I have build a relationship. The property goes into MLS but my guy is the only one with a key and he screens all buyers before opening the door and I reject all offers from buyers without pre approved credit in fact most of them never get through the door. My guy is also willing to bend a bit on the commission to make a deal happen. I come down a little he gives up a little and the buyer meets us half way that is how business is done. If your Realtor brings you a cash buyer and a full price offer he or she deserves a good payday.

"Low life maggots" is a bit extreme but I've always felt that 7% commission on what you have worked and saved for years is some kind of ripoff for hardworking families.

I've dealt with several realtors and I wouldn't trust one of them enough to hire him/her ever again.

Realtors are a bunch of low life maggots. They say they dont discriminate in showing buyers ALL areas so why do they ask for cash incentives just to come out and look at your particular home ? They outright lie to you when listing your house, inflating the price and their abilities to  "sell it fast" at this price. They never say they oversold their abilities when they say you should reduce the price to increase interest in the property. They might "show " your home but they wont try and sell what they are showing.
Worse than used car sales people and Lawyers. A cabal of liars ,cheaters and thieves,,,all looking for that 6% of your hide. Ask them to compromise on that...NFW...
sell it yourself or stay where you are.

Simple....don't sell your house, if you don't need to. Problem solved.
