The Marin County estate was Garcia's final home before he died of a heart attack in 2005. It was listed for $4 million in 2010 but came off the market after a moneyed Dead Head failed to materialize. It's truckin' for one again.
The 7,000-square-foot Mediterranean home has five bedrooms, a 1,500-square-foot artist's studio, a six-car garage, a solar-heated pool and an organic garden. It sits on 11 acres and has views of Mount Tamalpais and the Pacific Ocean.

A tragic end
The Camden Square villa is where the soul singer lived and was found dead at 27. It apparently has changed hands once in 40 years, when Winehouse purchased and renovated it. Since her death in July 2011, fans have carved out a shrine in front of the home's gated entrance.
The house has a retro black-and-white checkered kitchen, a gym and sound-proofed walls and opens out onto private gardens.

Frank Sinatra
Home: Penthouse at 532 E. 72nd St.
List Price: $7.7 million
Listed with: Rubicon Property
The duplex party pad formerly owned by Frank Sinatra was once described by artist Andy Warhol as a "glittering grotto in the sky." The home hosted countless Rat Pack parties, despite the fact that the top level of the co-op wasn't internally accessible from the lower. Sinatra and his celebrity friends would climb the building stairs.

2 famous owners
Cotchford Farm boasts two famous owners. A.A. Milne, creator and author of the “Winnie the Pooh” stories, lived here with his wife, Daphne, and son Christopher Robin for three decades. In the late 1960s, Brian Jones, a founding member of the Rolling Stones, owned the estate until his death in 1969, when he was found drowned in its outdoor pool a month after Mick Jagger and Keith Richards booted him from the band.
Available for the first time in 40 years, this 16th-century estate encompasses 10 acres and includes six bedrooms, a den with a fireplace, a drawing room, an oak-paneled dining room, a fish pond, gardens, a wooded stream and the outdoor swimming pool where Jones died.

Jim Morrison of The Doors
Home: Rothdell Trail, West Hollywood, Calif.
Last list price: $1.2 million
Delisted: 2011
The house that The Doors' frontman occupied, known as the "Love Street" home, got its name after he penned a tribute ballad to his live-in girlfriend, Pamela Courson. The Laurel Canyon home came to market in 2010 and was quietly delisted last year. During the 1960s, the neighborhood was home to many of Morrison's classic rock peers as well: the Mamas and the Papas, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, Dusty Springfield and Joni Mitchell, among others.
The three-bedroom, four-bathroom house has distressed floors and open-beam ceilings and sits right behind the Canyon Country Store. Outdoor amenities include patios, fire pits and an outdoor shower. The home also reportedly has a hidden shower preserved behind the current bathroom wall where Morrison scrolled his writings.

The folk rock singer-songwriter penned her sophomore album, "Music," here in 1971. The wood-beamed living room served as backdrop for photo shoots of King during that time.
The French Norman Tudor house has five bedrooms, four bathrooms, an office, a pool and a cabana. It was owned by "Friends" star Courteney Cox after King sold it.

Home: Dixon Trail Road, Hidden Hills, Calif.

While not as famous perhaps, this property, tucked inside a gated community, has been for sale since 2011. It can be rented for $50,000 per month.
The 10,950-square foot Cape Cod-style manse has six bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a guest apartment with kitchenette, a wood-paneled study, a studio/home theater, a family room with reclaimed barn doors and a backyard with spa, barbecue island and outdoor shower.

Pink Floyd
Home: Stanhope Gardens, Highgate, London
Auction guide price: About $1.9 million
Auction hosted by: Savills Auctions
Pink Floyd used to go by the name Leonard's Lodgers. The name was inspired by their former college tutor-turned-landlord, Mike Leonard, who rented rooms in this London home during the mid-1960s. Now it is being auctioned off in a nondistressed real-estate sale.

Band memorabilia
When Pink Floyd moved out of the house, the band left behind a homemade xylophone and bongo drums in the attic and an array of prisms and crystals that may have inspired the "Dark Side of the Moon" album's artwork. Up until his death, Leonard remained in the house and kept it the same, so it now needs renovations.
