Think a glass company paid msn for this? Oh no not capitalism in liberal media why next drug companies will buy advertising during the news, oddly each night a health story is worthy of "news".

I wonder what the insurance co say about these masterpieces. It is like a dream. Walking on air. Why do some of the most beautiful pieces of work  come from Italy. Wonder what the (stairway to heaven) looks like. I made a stone walk way that goes nowhere. If I could afford to do one of these staircases I would do the  One that  just sticks out of the wall. How cool!

I don't find floor to ceiling windows, that face out towards nothing, exactly breath-taking. Again, another cut-rate writer who they found to pump out an article aimed at CA residents. Why didn't the article's headline read: "CA homes with big windowns" that would've been more accurate and made the rest of us not living out there avoid this poorly written article. Again where were the "views"?????????????????????????????

Most of what I looked at is quite beautiful, but everyone's tastes are different. None are something I would personally care to live in.I would feel there is no privacy. That's just my personal feeling. But, if you don't mind living in a goldfish bowl ( gorgeous ones to be sure) then why not!

To appreciate a work of art should not rest on the fact that one can afford it or not.

I love floor to ceiling windows in a home, but just not a home with open windows in every inch of the home. There is absolutely no privacy and where are the fabulous views? Besides that, with the exception of the mid century modern home in Arizona and the one in Santa Monica, they look somewhat sterile.

Eric Roll SAID IT ALL.

THE LAZY NON WORKERS of this nation OF EVERY NATIONALITY....WHO HAVE TAKEN THIS

COUNTRY FOR A RIDE (welfare and all services WE HAVE PAID FOR OUT OF THE PURE

GENEROUSITY OF OUR HEARTS).

Welfare rec. will follow what they feel is the easiest WAY TO CONTINUE the free ride.  THEY in their laziness have ruined the greatest nation and will sell their soles and the nations; for whomever gives them a free ride. They are too self-centered to TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS HELP...USING IT TO THE DETRIMENT OF THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES.........WHY COULDN'T THEY USE THIS HELP TO help their children come up in the world.  It was not going to last forever.  So socialism will have its fruition.  Welfare recipicants will find out they have sold their souls...when socialism gives them nothing after it has won them.  It is a bait and switch for them and they are too stupid to see it.

They were the whole reasonwe have lost america.   Their passiveness and easy molding have

unpatriotically sunk the nation.  Welfare stop riding on the free ride.  Do something with the money

you are given.  Your passiveness is sinking this nation.

These homes are fantastic ! For years I've visited and seen buildings and structures

that I imagined turning into unique lifestyle homes with. I've always wanted to turn an

abandoned warehouse (away from the main city ) into a cool home . Maybe someday !

These homes are inspiring !

After years of difficult study (mathematics and computer science) and very hard work (many sleepless nights poring over errant software designs) we too own a beautiful large home with gorgeous views including our own very expensive landscaping. We have helped, and continue to help, others with donations and mentoring -- I taught computer science inside the NJ prison system where I earned eight dollars per contact hour and spent the money, and more, on bagels, cream cheese, and coffee for my sixty students.  In return we now must fear that the Neanderthals of this society -- those who may have spent their time downing 'Buds,' smoking pot, using hard drugs, and avoiding hard work at any cost -- will come and destroy what we have earned simply because they haven't earned anything themselves. Socialism sounds like a panacea to many of those simply because they believe that they will not have to work hard under Socialism, and they do not realize that -- Socialism, or Capitalism -- it makes little difference; After the revolution is over the same kind of people who ruled before the revolution, will rule afterwards.  Lenin and the Tsar -- and their bureaucrats --  had more in common with each other than they had, or willever have,  with any of us. "Why do they get all the good jobs?" is the exhausted cry of the tired revolutionaries who simply do not understand that those who occupy positions of leadership will always take what they want --- BECAUSE THEY CAN!

To those of you commenting on the fact that all houses are in California or western States, know that Sunset magazine who sponsored the list is a magazine that targets to the west coast !! I'm sure there is a lot of beautiful houses with a view other places in the U.S., but being out of the target market of Sunset magazine did not qualify them.

After reading some of the comments I would say there is a lot of lazy people who wants everything handed to them! I have a 8th.grade education have worked my but off and I would have been one of the 1% had it not been for some thieving pig on wall street but you can't let those pigs win stand up and get back to what you do best! WORKING HARD and you will be happy with yourself and be a hell lot smarter this time around. I have learned to NOT trust any Investment guru's or advisors. YES i will get my glass house someday even if I have to have a glass gasket, I am 68 and starting over and wall street DID NOT get my brain and everything I have learned over time, so the last laugh is on me, Who ever designed and built these HOMES KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!Smile
