HA, you gotta laugh, I lived in Cleveland and if those idiots do not understand that bad weather, bad sports, anti bus., unions,  high taxes, high crime and corruption do not kill a city , nothing does!

Compared to the greater metropolitan Detroit area most of the remaining United States is a Palookaville.

all fast growing cities are predominantly red.  all the slow growth ones are blue.  coincidence?

While Charlotte is "CLOSE" to South Carolina, it's NOT in SC.  Also, the  more recent growth that area has experienced has NOT been into SC, but primarily North (into Iredell County) and East (into Cabarrus/Stanly/Unio​n counties).  Years ago, the Rock Hill area experienced the "sprawl" and still some, but again...Charlotte is not and never was in SC.

I have idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis for over four years now.  It got so bad that I was placed on hos-pis to live out the remainder of my life.  I was able to find and enzyme on line     which i started to take .  It has been over a year now and I was taken off hos-pis because my lungs improved so well i no longer needed the added care.  I have since been diagnosed with brain cancer and i'm back on hos-pis.  but my lungs are doing great and as long as I take the enzymes as directed i do not have the problems .  It doesn't cure the disease but it gives me the quality of life that I wouldn't have with out it.  I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to live and enjoy a better quality of life than they have now.  If nothing else do some research , please don't just take my word ,check it out on your own .  This is your life , take charge of your own destiny..  Thank you  ,  you will not regret the chose you will have made.  nothing to lose , your life to gain..........

Very  interesting. If the growth rates of the last 12 yrs are maintained Raleigh, NC will be same size as Detroit (Warren, Lavonia) in 36.2 yrs. A lot can happen in 36.2 yrs.

The weather, employment, taxes and crime in the slowest growing cities have the most to do with it.

Glad I never had to live in Buffalo , Detroit or Clevland.. And why do they list two states for one city ?

If on the other hand you want to know where is the perfect place to live just pull up the information using a search engine.
When I want to research a city I use the following words, Search Crime Statistics and Geographical data on such and such cites.
That usually pulls information on the cities including mortality rates, jobless rates, crime, and growth.
Something that is not in this report.

When you see statistical data and it's not backed up by more than one SOURCE, be afraid, be very afraid. Many website get a fee to push people to other places with the promise of wealth or growth or happy living. That would be like me telling everyone Chicago, Illinois and Detroit Michigan are wonderful loving towns and we all should move there.ank in 2011 to 2012: 9

MSN and Yahoo has such weird news most of the time.  I don't know what to believe when it comes to them.  One thing I do like is seeing the highlights of the ball games. Anything else is usually stupid gossip! I don't know what's true and what's not on here...Things that make you say hum....

These are MSA's (Metropolitan Statisital Areas) not Cities.  This means that the Areas include all Cities surrounding the Major Metro City!

Leaving the high tax and declining areas in the north and heading South. And then telling their "new" home how they need to change things to be more like their "old" home.

They're clearly talking about with the metro areas. If you look on a map, "East Providence" is over the state-line. Additionally when they listed Detroit they showed all the additional metro cities they were including.
