Housing bubble this summer??  Was that on Fantasy Island?  In Michigan here everyone is in foreclosure or modifying their mortgage because they are upside down on it.

The peak of the housing market was 2004?  I remember it being 2006.

Also, very few people can have financial security in retirement without owning a home.

If it werent for the investors, prices would still be very low.

The home ownership numbers will rebound as soon as people feel safe with their employment status, which means the economy has to be on the rebound.

when they did the census a couple years back, census lady told me i was only the 8th person to own my home that she had talked too! in a town of 40,000.

Maybe the reason homeownership has continued to fall is because there are no jobs that pay a living wage?
