Multiple inspection on single house!

I was in the process of buying a house through an agent. The house was listed for $339,000. My agent offered $ 320,000. Listing agent accepted my offer and my agent sent a binder to listing agent and informed him for inspection by Engineer. My agent schedule an inspection, although I'm my self an inspector for NY public school and I did FID everyday. During this house's inspection my self and Engineer noticed that an inspection has been done before. After home inspection my agent made a call and reported to him about the inspection, He told to my agent he has a better offer! that happened in a same day. I paid $500 for inspection and took a day off. Listing agent was well aware of an inspection that was done before mine because after an inspection buyer agent must do an approach to discuss the report and try to negotiate the price. Is there any Law to protect buyers for this type of scam?. The house is still in the market. Is anybody out there to figure out how to get my money back from reputable professional group.
