Add a cushy outdoor rug and ditch your shoes outside
Build an outdoor lounge, add a rug and you're ready to entertain all summer long.
Each summer, I see more and more of them: outdoor rugs. It’s getting to the point that I’m almost ready to jump on the bandwagon. After all, putting a nice, cushy rug outdoors just begs for bare feet, and who doesn’t need more excuses to shed shoes in your own backyard?
Expect the growing trend of moving your living space outdoors to gain even more followers this year. It’s not just about a picnic table and umbrella anymore. More people are bringing entire kitchens into their outdoors, and that means it’s time to up the level of comfort.
Sunset takes a practical approach to that theory with its instructions for building an outdoor lounge out of everyday household items: PVC piping that can withstand even a blustery summer day. Add to that your weather-resistant, durable outdoor rug, and you’ve just expanded your living area by 100 square feet.
Happy building!
