wow.  could you have found an older picture of Cleveland?  Where is Progressive Field? Where is Quicken Loans Arena?  Where is the Cleveland Browns Stadium?  Where is Key Tower (built in 1991)?  Where is Federal Building (built in 2002)?  This is outrageous.  If you are going to "highlight" a city, HIGHLIGHT IT!!!  Get a current picture! This one is at LEAST 13 years old.  What a pathetic article.  Makes me wonder what the other cities on this list ACTUALLY look like. :(

I don't have to go through 17 slides and read the article to know that Detroit is the dirt-cheap city.  And that includes the suburbs, where I live.  And I love it.  I can live like royalty on very little money, the thrift stores are full of designer items, the weather here is not bad, and I could go on and on.  I work in downtown Detroit and yes, they do have a nice downtown here.  There's lots worse places to live, believe me, I have lived in some of them.  My husband and I don't regret coming here for a minute.  We both work as Registered Nurses, and are laughing all the way to the bank.

Where the heck is Buffalo NY?

That city surely deserves to be in there!

I live in the South and I wouldn't call a city city a cheap city to live. If you want real comfort of cheap living then you need to venture out more, MSNBC and all your reporters that do these stupid detailed stories that have no meaning to 95% of the population in America. Everyone knows it is cheaper to live in rural America that in a city. There are way more smaller cities than what you shown than are far cheaper to live, but have more to offer. Like Jackson, Mississippi or even Mobile, Alabama. But perhaps you want to freeze you butt off in the winter and I bet Billings, Montana would be perfect. So it doesn't matter where you live, anything rural is going to be cheaper than the cities you listed.

Typical Bing --- Lots of their opinion, but no facts to back up why they call them "dirt cheap".  I hate Bing and purposely go to other search engines.

Hate, hate, hate ALL these stupid clicks just to get a story.

Why do you insist on torturing your clients?

Hey Bing! Youre about the only search engine out there that I know of that actually forces you to do homework just to get the full gist of an article. Im not in high school, i finished college and I dont need you to give me busy work or research the f*cking internet just to get to read the whole article. Me and everyone else out there just clicks out of the article and moves on to yahoo or google. So cut the crap!

I never click through screens to get the info that the lead-in is promoting. If I click on the site and it doesn't present the story with all the information presented in an article (not a "click-fest"), I simply end the session. To me, this premise is a "bait-and-switch" scheme that I refuse to aid and abet. BING is awful and MSN needs to stop allowing all those click, click, click articles that we abhor.

Epic fail not attaching the link, Bing. Thank you for wasting my time. I did enjoy reading everyone else's comments about how bad your products and services are. lol

This is Charleston West Virginia, and there are only three locations in the capital city worth promoting. Dirt Cheap and Dirty Air, Dirty Rivers as a consequence of chemical factories and coal companies. Dirty slums, dirty hospitals, dirty and inferior schools (when the major State funded university boasts only a monorail you know the academics and team are not worth mentioning) poor food choices (limited choices at chain grocery stores where poor white bread culture favors plastic cheese and sugar0, very view cultural activities ( the only museum in the capital city is a hideous collection of dusty copies of pioneer cabins and a mural painted by children, the restaurants are nothing special, but it is a great place for greasy spoons, the music scene is limited, theater is community theater a few times a year). Live cheap on bad   roads in poor housing, and pray you are never so ill you need a good hospital (many nurses graduated from Sherman College which admits students who have low SAT scores); Hicksville with a nasty underclass and underworld.

Really Bing?!?  You just make it harder.  If this article was posted anywhere else i would have all the answers on one page.  Quick making me use your tool.  Based on the comments, it seems like everyone is fed up with it.

Bing workaround...enable IE status bar and then hover over the link.  In the bottom left corner you will see the search string in the address which includes the answer.  Not perfect, but at least you don't have to click the darn link.

Seriously? Bing is pernicious.

Its news style barely passes as cheap entertainment; their news stories come across as TRIPE.

It takes all sorts of maneuvers to prevent MSN from taking over one's computer---once they have you in their grasp, they force users to only do things their way.

QUICK!!! Load Firefox, Linux, convert to Apple...SOMEthing that more easily allows one to do what they want on their computers!

You, too, can refuse to be a Microsoft Drone!
