Um...yeah...those houses are not selling because they have better curb appeal than the ones right next door or right down the street, because those are houses that haven't anyone next door or down a street, often referred to as mansions or estates.  They are bought and sold by a different crowd that doesn't check features of two virtually identical houses to see which comes out on top.

With the median USA family income sitting at around $49,000 these places will never be affordable to 99% of thje population.  Please stop these garbage articles or tell us why the Forbs people shouldn't be indicted on inciting riot charges.

I think you meant Kailua Kona, which is still not accurate. Hualalei is about 40 miles from Kailua-Kona and best described as the Kohala Coast. Second time in a week that these Forbes articles got the city in Hawaii wrong. Need a fact checker? I'm available
