Most expensive rentals of 2013
By Colleen Kane of CNBC
High-end rentals in the most desirable cities and vacation destinations are always costly. But just how high do rents climb in the United States? The real-estate website Trulia compiled a list of the properties with the highest rental prices.
These properties must all be mansions, right? Wrong. Only one has enough square footage to qualify, and it barely squeaks in at 10,000 square feet. Well then, surely these must all be the most high-end and updated properties around? Not necessarily. In some cases, the shockingly steep rent prices are dictated largely by the location, and other factors can be secondary. From beach house to penthouse, these are the most expensive rentals on the market.
