This 5% of Americans do not want to live in rural OK.  But it is the greatest state for acreage and LOW TAXES.   As for me and my house I will remain in OKlahoma.  We have houses here with acreage that range form $125,000 to $950,000.  Land and lakes that are almost untouched.  Pasture land for livestock.  Beautiful views with wildlife to boot. So Keep your Million dollar homes in the Mountains.  I prefer Peace of Mind and Not owning for my home.

I see some are surprised that they would list these homes considering they only appeal to the rich (5% of the public). The problem with the media and society in general is we're obsessed with the lifestyle of these 5%. We worship and follow their moves as if they were some kind of demi-gods. I personally could care less about them and their money! The world will be a better place when the general public come to this realization and stop feeding the fire!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels very much priced out of the MSN market.

In MY area of western KY you can buy a huge, new or nearly new, house on some acreage 2-5 acres for the mid $200,000-- but you bettter have your own income /retirement money because it ain't here.  Lots of nice 1500 sq ft houses for under $100,000 in  towns.

Try Hopkinsville KY for a really low cost retirement..we are CIVILIZED HERE--WE EVEN HAVE  WAL-MARTS.
