They say Biden's house was built in 2005 but overgrown and about to be condemned.  A house only a few years old is not considered overgrown??? Either it was REMODELED in 2005 or somebody wasted money building a house just to abandon it.  Nonetheless, it was a wise investment on his part.

If a home is remodeled extensively it 's is considered built in that year, at least in California. If the home he purchased was a tear down & had been vacant for awhile. It was probably stripped to the studs, new wiring, drywall, etc.

Most of us worthless 47 percenters (who DO pay payroll taxes to the government as an interest free loan- they make all the interest, we don't, but as with all things Romney, interest 'doesn't count') would give our left nut for a nice home like these for our families. But politicians, once they reach Congress, control their own pay, their own time off (Jesse Jackson Jr anyone?) their own raises and their own healthcare (they have an in-house doc and gym that plebe taxpayers can't see). And they become untouchable. Even Tea Party elects still want their farm subsidies. The system is broken, really badly. I'd love to see some "real people values" take hold, but everyone is too busy bitching at one another to embrace real reforms.

Are they saying he bought house in 1996 but it was built in 2005?  How can he purchase a home that has not even been built?

So we let people who can afford to live in those kinds of houses be in charge of a country full of people that could never live so well. Let's get someone in office that lives in a modest two-bedroom home like mine and is relieved to have a few dollars left over after all the bills are paid.

Typical, snarky,msn Liberal bias, "merda!"  You'all can't even keep your crap out of an historical/architectual story.  Two items among several:

 

1) "Before there was Sarah Palin there was Dan Quayle... (!!!)"  Do you jerks know that "potatoe" is actually-- albeit archaic-- a legitimate spelling?  Whay about your "boy's" insistence on "Cinco De Cuatro"-- repeatedly-- in front of the Mexican President?  (That's "Cinco de mayo" for the linguistically challenged such as yourselves, and your "boy.")  And the "57 States," and the Marine "corpse" (repeatedly in front of a military audience)... what an excuse for "Commander in Chief!"  And on, and on, and-- never reported-- and on... Your glee that Dan's son Ben lost in his primary is undisguised. 

 

2) Gerald Ford was the most athletic President ever... certainly more than that "benchwarmer" Obama who explains his lack of playing time as due to a white coach who insisted on playing "white ball," instead of "black ball."  (Who's the racist?)  He throws like a girl in his "mommy jeans;" what an embrassament!  (Compare openning pitches by "W"-- chronologically 16 years his senior, and his infinite senior in character-- and BO.)  Ford play football for Michigan, and was drafted by the pros.

 

Yet you report that sleazoid Al Gore "straight." What a much of jerks...

hats a beautifull house.Ide sure love it if they gave someone with a dream in there heart and has worked on there lives,and desires to get to the issues of peoples lives,and do something to make a difference a chance to have a house like that and begin to preform there dream for better tomarro's.

What does a VP do ? And are they paid ? Do they travel around on Air Force 2 setting up parties and getting away from their wives so they can do up some hotties ?  Will Palin be Ryan's special party assistant ?

I notice almost all the homes have more bathrooms than bedrooms... the typical number is 8 bathrooms.... I guess this is because they are so full of sh*t

"Wishing" doesn't work....hardwork and saving does.  Set a goal for yourself then create a plan that you follow to make it happen.  As long as the Secret Service paid the fair market value (going rate), there's no conflict of interest.

And the VP is saying the rich get richer! Wish I could of been able to purchase a home like this!  And then rent it to the secret service?  Isn't that conflict of intrest
