New York: no luck for $200K, but if you spend another $140K . . .

We had no luck finding anything in the $200,000 range in Manhattan. The closest we came was a studiothat, according to Cynthia Crowley of Olshan Realty, is one of the least expensive apartments in the middle of Manhattan.

This hotel-style studio apartment is located in a 17-story, 165-unit doorman building, steps from Central Park West. A 12-foot-long entryway leads to the main studio, a sunny square room with 10-foot ceilings throughout. Phoenix
