Yeah.. we made a big mistake.. we have an eclectic taste and I left out one of my naughty cook books on the kitchen counter.. I can't tell you the name of it, but suffice it to say, we got a call from the real estate agent the following day and she suggested we put that particular coo kbook away.. ha!  if you're curious about it.. google "whipped and beaten culinary works" to find it.. but don't go if you can't take a good joke.. by the way.. we kept it out to shock the buyers! HA!

Re-painting an entire house is ludicrous, unless the interior looks like a pack of wild horses were rolling across the walls, covered in a rainbow of colors. Prospective buyers want a feeling of 'home' when they enter your house. They want to view individual tastes, and how the current family actually lives. Yes, make SURE the house is CLEAN -- dishes, litter box, kids' toys put away, beds made, floor washed, etc. Buy some 'plug ins', even at the $1 store that smell like cinammon baking for the kitchen; citrus for the bathroom. Just tidy up, leave your furniture and photos -- this is REAL life, NOT an episode of a makeover show!

Can't sell your house? I have a novel idea....... LOWER THE PRICE.
