Let's hear it for Denver, CO!  The sun shines 300 days a year here and I disagree with the rent medium that is offered with this top 10.  You can do yourself ok for $525, however this report makes no mention of demographics  to size of the household????? That might hike it a little more if it were two.  Yet all in all the rents in Denver are very reasonable.  Now getting a job.......

Tulsa,Ok! and rural areas. Moved here from Palm Springs, Ca. because of cost of living. Professional jobs here pay about the same as Ca. but you can rent or buy at less than half the cost of Ca. Just stay away from North Tulsa area! City has some great plans for growth. I live on a lake west of Tulsa about 30 mi. in heaviest traffic 45min. drive. Home prices 100 to 300 thousand, rent 350 low end, 650 to 750 for in town apt. Rural areas 550 to 750 for home on land

DENVER, COLORADO!!
I've traveled all over the United States and Colorado was the only state that really captured my heart. It's beautiful, the people are wonderful, and it's just a great atmosphere to be in.Smile

I'm very surprised that Buffalo,NY is not on this list. It has the cheapest rent. You can get a 3 Bdrm/2 Bth for $350-$550. And You get a good view of Niagara Falls. For proof you can check Craigslist.org->New York->Buffalo->Apartments.

PA is a great place to live. We have mountains in Central and Western PA and flat areas close to the Ocean (Philadlephia), the beaches of Erie, the scenic Poconos. I live in the City of Pittsburgh and work along a country road about 30 minutes from my home. I visit my family in Philadelphia and travel to New Jersey to have a day at the shore with my kids. In the winter we ski in the mountains and ice fish on the lakes. AND the historical places to visit!! Pittsburgh is full of museums and parks, Philadelphia is one of the greatest historical places in this country to visit. On the way, stop in Johnstown and visit the Flood Museum and ride the Steepest Vehicular Incline in the world!! Then a few miles later stop in Old Bedford Village and learn how the pilgrims lived and make some butter!! Harrisburg and Hershey park aren't too far off. Enjoy a day at the chocolote factory. There is lots to do here all year around!
