Nice kitchen but the bird on the block is a little creepy

Love the first orange and white kitchen and the kitchen with the orange cabinets and black counters looks incredible- even by today's standards.  Only 2 or 3 of these kitchens look a little "far out".  I would be happy with most of them.  Much more creative and personalized than the cookie cutter kitchens of today.  Everyone gets their granite, stainless and traditional wood cabinets and think they are being original but the result is always same old same old.

I like some of these kitchens.  But looks like they forgot to remove the entrails of the pheasant on the butcher block in the "Manhattan" kitchen.  Terrible shame to waste fresh game. Sad

The 70's was definetly the me decade.the 70's  gave us self centered divorce and lots of other lovely fads that have not gone away since. The funny thing is social change started in earlier decades but the BAD results started to roost in the 70's.I was there and Im still living with the results of those wonderful no downside decisions from the 70's.

To the editor:

Why bother with this segment when the MSN Money section has an article entitled Why remodeling is a waste of money.

Either H&G will whip ya into reality, or losing their account will.

sorry to disappoint,

It's the 1970s that was dubbed The 'Me' Decade," not the 80s.
The term was coined by author Tom Wolfe.
