Your story started with comments about the view of bay not being available from kitchen then in the after shot you showed close up of door pulls and a rather plain light fixture but never anything about the view. Did you not improve it or just selling door pulls more important?

Never put wine storage next to, or over, a refrigerator. (unless you like vinegar)

We recently remodeled our 1980's kitchen which had been black and white checkerboard tile on the floors and back splash, white cabinets with black ceramic pulls--horrible! I felt like I lived at a Steak and Shake.  We wisely chose to hire an architect who did very detailed drawings of everything--cabinet and appliance placement, electric, plumbing and lighting details.  Having those plans made construction go very smoothly.  There were no questions or misunderstandings and best of all no wasted time or materials. Now I have a beautiful kitchen that is not only pretty and updated, but it is completely functional. I have to pinch myself everyday. I recommend having a complete set of drawings before beginning any project--wish I could attach pictures!
