i have put a couple of mobile homes in that park it is so small that the guy that was pulling the other half put his mirror through a mobile home wall and broke a 100k statue had to saw all the mirror out of the wall spent all day trying to put the flip pin thing in its spot the place is a joke but lots of sights to distract you at any given time over rated place  just a high priced concrete jungle

I could care less how some idiot in California lives. The purpose of this story is.....some geek wants to lord big money over our heads during a recession. How stupid does it get. Like the others I do not want to go to Calf.. In 2008 I was in Nevada at a Starbucks coffee plant on a training program for 3 weeks. Each Saturday a dozen guys I was training with would cross the state line into Lake Tahoe. I told them 3 weeks in a row "No thanks I refuse to go to Calf.." Who would voluntarily do that???? No sane or rational person.....

The only people buying in this market at this price range are those liberals who have insulated and segregated themselves from the rest of us through loopholes, lies, and litigation. Most of us out here know the deal...............s​​o keep the BS propoganda to yourself msn!!

They say it's location...? Well,  I have 1.6 acres in the Adirondacks! Secluded, nearest neighbor is about 100 yards north and through a tree line. The other neighbor is across the road at over 75 yards. The only annoyance is the crossroads neighbor plays that booming crack music most of the time.

Best thing about my...no million- dollar mortgage!!!

I agree with jodhal, I clicked on this just to flame it. 1st off california is a super ****y place to build a house and doing so shows me that this dude is a total dumb ****! 4 reasons polution, wild fires, crime rate and earthquakes "fault lines" i hope the house get leveled or worse to teach that idiot a lesson, then maybe the other millions of dumb asses living near it will realize that maybe flocking to one of the worse places in the USA because they think its kewl is not such a good idea. That whole state would be better off as a prison, half of the countries worse people already live or have homes there anyway and if it broke off in a earthquake then no one would give a dam... of course they could hang with lohan i hear she has another cell for a home again.....yet another of California famed idiots

I'm a little confused here I have seen and lived in mobile homes and the idea of a mobile  home is that it is mobile and can be moved from one place to another by a semi truck. I do not see these being called mobile homes at all. How many of them have been moved by these richey rich people in the last 10 years. Why does the media give names to things that are not true-oh, I forgot, they can say what ever they want .

jealousy and hate for people that have busted their butts working hard to have what they have worked hard for is third world mentality. if i had the money i would do the same thing ans since i do not have it i can not. i admire looking at this. people have to sleep in the bed they make for themselves. do not expect people that have to pitty those that do not want to have. hate, envy and jealousy is the biggest problem in this world.

I would think that these properties are priced high because of the locations - not because of the manufactured homes.  Manufactured homes can be more elaborate these days and can even provide an upstairs.  They are a nice option when the land is expensive.  I know they have been a more modest option in Bend, OR especially for acreage or horse property.

I notice that all these high priced mobile homes are located in California. Also I notice that the homes ae usually located along the beach or shoreline.

 

So really and trully the high value of these homes in California is due to the location  of the home and not the fact that it is a mobile home. I am sure if you placed a shak on the beach it would also cost over a million dollars.

really are you smoking CRACK at these very over Priced ugly mobile homes just my thoughts but LIVE WITH IN YOUR MEANS  this is why we have such a problem with this country we spend way to much for our homes and cars.      Get over it..................​.. and enjoy life now before its to late

Some of these homes appear to be modular homes, not mobile homes. There's a vast difference. Mobile homes are built to HUD standards, the lowest possible building standard. Modular homes are built to comply with state and local building codes, a much higher standard. In fact, modular homes are stick built, just not on site. They are brought to the prepared site in modules and put together. They also increase in value, just as any other stick-built house does with time. Mobile homes, on the other hand generally depreciate (though the million-dollar lake-side lot may not). While the general public may still be confused about the difference, I would expect a national publication and the National Association of Realtors to get it right.

This just makes me sick. My house was blown up by my husband, lost everything I own, almost my life and not one program will help me but there are houses like this. I'm a widow, disabled over 50, own my land and Paying for the hole in the ground, plus I qualify for all kinds of programs but qualifing doesn't mean they cut a check. Good luck to the people who end up with these. Must be nice.

who ever wrote this article did not research the subject very well . Pre-built homes cane be had in all sizes for about a tenth of this bloggers figures. . Check around .

The prices reflect the property location, not expensive manufactured homes. The manufactured homes just be happening to sit on mostly beach front property. Misleading title to this article.
