FIND YOUR DREAM HOME OR APARTMENT
My first home, in Colorado, in the mid 1970s however was 2Br, 1Ba, 1200 sq ft with a single car garage. My second was a 70 year old home of 782 sq ft in Salem, Oregon. These days I live aboard an 8x24 ft houseboat in Ft Myers, FL, with a 112 sq ft cabin (7 x 16). Over the years I have downsized my possessions, but still keep treasured books and art.
The older I get the more I think of down sizing even to the tiniest and cutest of homes as this. I would love to just have a lot of space outside and a little space inside. I had just similar when I was a younger person in the 60's. I remember living on a commune and we had a similar home and we were happy. Crowded in the winter, when we were snowed in. But it is a good memory. The rent was very cheap
I lived in a 14' x 5.5' apt in NYC for 5 years. Now my 20' x 20' plus 14' hall plus tiny porch studio feels like a mansion. Living in a small space requires that you be able to prioritize your needs, organize your belongings, be creative, and be neat, all great disciplines. It keeps your sense of yourself in perspective, but you can live a very large life in a very small space.
For DuPont10, the lace in the curtain is called Battenburg lace, which you can google and find online as well as local sources for. It is not all that expensive, and it is very beautiful.
