I love the DIY attitude in this article. It shows that a little money and creativity can go a long way to make a room look great. Yes, it takes a certain amount of talent and skills to redecorate, but you can always ask your friends and family for help. I recommend doing some research to find good ideas online and in magazines. Thanks for the great article and the before and after photos.

What about the labor costs? And who did the electrics and plumbing? The problem with this kind of information it completely distorts the reality of remodeling. If a home owner has the talent and time, yes, they can save money. Most have neither the time or the talent and therefore when they venture into the remodeling world, they are woefully unprepared. The results vary in ugliness and costs. Buyers beware.
