Is just me, because I grew up In Chicago, or does any else think that glass homes in an urban city environment is really a bad idea?!

No.13 seems like a good idea- with the glass not going all the way down the window. But there's one problem with that. What if the house is across the street from a high-rise building? That means that the people who live in the upper floors of the high-rise would still be able to see straight into the house from across the street.

The one facing the beach was nice. The rest of them would just totally creep me out if it was in the middle of downtown. A sad commentary on today's society, but do you want everybody to know when the women are home alone, what they are doing, wearing etc. Plus added bonus - store front steal me display of items you can examine at your leisure as you stroll or skulk past.

Why can't they make a glass house that uses all-tinted glass?  That way, no one outside will be able to see the inside of the house, but the outside would still be clear and visible from the inside.

I love the concept and the design. I'm not so sure I'd have one in the middle of a large city.

What a novel idea to excite the friendly neighborhood drive by enthusiast with.

I'm sorry people who live in glass houses should keep the lights off and if you live in chicago pull the blinds shut.  Glass houses what a concept do you think the bad guys said if they made glass houses our job would be so easy.   I bet the same guy who invented the edsle said  I have another Idea glass houses with bullet proof glass.     Well call me mister and try to sell me one...........

I'd love home as such. I'd stand in the window and **** all day. (^_^)

Wow! Talk about being an exhibitionist!  Some of those houses had their beds in the windows facing the street.  I love glass houses but,  that being said, I believe they belong in private settings where only the deer need to avert their eyes.

I would NEVER buy such a home.  Talk about NO PRIVACY.  This is a home for an exabitionist or a claustrophobic.  All the burglar needs to do is look to see what you have to steal and know when you're not home so they can steal it.  It's ridiculous.  I wonder how many have been sold as homes and not as businesses.

I may have to remember to get dressed.

These houses are a perfect eye-sore without soul. In addition they offer no privacy, no intimacy. Everybody can see what you're doing, if you're cooking, taking a shower or peeing; it's like living on the street, or in the departure lounge at JFK. I couldn't stay more than 3 hours in one of them.

I'm sorry, in today's world I'm not comfortable with a glass house in downtown Philly.
