UGH!  People don't even clean or pick up their houses before taking pictures? Disgusting!
Did anyone happen to do a street view of the Philadelphia one?  It looks like three crack dealers sitting on the porch next door LOL.  Great neighborhood!

try Ohio, many old mansions going into default. Foreclosures are hitting the state now instead of 8 yrs ago during the crash. The little towns through out the state are selling mid to large houses for 60k. Taxes are high and Boner runs the state so no medicare extensions or Obama care but plenty of food stamps & welfare like Wisconsin. You'll see a mass exist to sun belt in the next few yrs.

You can get a great kitchen reno for 100K here. However, the house would cost about  800K to start with. (Toronto, On.) , and it would need some extra work.

The Philadelphia property is one of the worst neighborhood in the city.

Some nice homes there...and some in pretty nice places. Proof there are still decent places to live in this country that are affordable.

Why do I get the feeling the one in Port Angeles has either land or tax issues, because 100k is pretty cheap for there even for a small home.

In downtown Boston, that's price for one car parking lot.

LOL...I no more trust Zillow to report correct prices than the NAR to do so.........They both are poor jokes foisted upon and pushed by MSN as the gospel on Real Estate.   Like another  blogger wrote " Buyer beware" and if you take the time bargins can be found about anywhere if the realtors don't get them 1st......

A house is not an investment anymore. The one who makes money are the banks. sorry .

See what kind of home you can get for $12,500! I closed on a 4 bedroom home with a finished basement two weeks ago. That's right, a house for less than the price of a car! Bargains are to be had in this down buyers market. They are not selling houses, they are selling neighborhoods. Don't let them make you think that home ownership will put you in the brink. 100% equity...all mine!

These homes could sell a whole lot less in my state than the ones on here. Not even close to these prices. Sorry I won't reveal what state it is because we don't need anymore migrants from other states come here.
That Clearwater Florida property IS in a bad neighborhood. Like the old saying goes: BUYER BEWARE.

Can't you buy a whole block in Detroit for 100K?
Sep 5, 2014 8:52AM
Fort Worth house looks decent.  Like a used car, you better look it over really good and like it or you'll never be happy after the purchase.  Location to your job might be your first consideration.  Of course if you want to live cheap, there are lower priced homes that require work.
Sep 5, 2014 8:32AM
And just who would want these homes? Probably anyone who can afford them would not want them, the rest don't have that kind of money.
Sep 5, 2014 7:22AM

LOL......  Some of those houses look so small. Who live in them, Dracula; sleeping standing, or upside down.

Sep 5, 2014 7:15AM
There are many places where a house can be had for under 100k, while being perfectly safe.  The problem is that most today want a status symbol that they will go into hock up to their armpits in.

I'm guessing that with the exception of the Port Angeles WA house they're all in bad neighbourhoods with high crime and bad schools.
