Buying a decent home right now in the right area is a good Idea considering the market. selling a home uhh.... Not so good right now . I have lost 7 years worth of equity in my last home do to the economy.
Bend isnt in eastern Oregon, it's in Central Oregon.
And besides, that house is Fugly. Doesnt look like a Central Oregon house at all.

We recently showed how much home you can buy for $100,000 in several cities around the country. But what about at the other end of the spectrum: How much home can you buy in those areas if you add a zero to your budget?
With help from our partners at Realtor.com, we found these homes for sale right now for a cool million — from the home of a former Cleveland Indians owner to the home of a former 7UP boss in the St. Louis area.

Million-dollar homes in Cleveland proper are hard to find. But next door, with its view back to the city, is Bay Village, population 15,000. In this undiscovered gem of a city, home prices are lower than in many other areas. To wit: We couldn't find a million-dollar home for sale in city limits. But check out the mountain living you get for about $980,000: This home sits on 35 wooded acres, with a wall of windows that overlooks dramatic rock outcroppings, a nearby lake and the university town of Fort Collins.
